I love the South, and most of all, I love the South during the
spring. The cool damp days of winter depart and the
land seems to celebrate as one flowering plant after another
displays its beauty. For me though, one particular flowering
tree quietly announces in a genteel manner that it is truly spring
in the Southland again -- the dogwood. Regardless of where
they are found, the white petals are the lace that weaves all of
the other plants into the perfect landscape.
