Keepers of the Land - Helen GA
I originally took the photo, which would be a reference for this painting, because of the clouds building over the mountains of North Georgia. As I reviewed the photo, though, I was struck with man's use of the land, while leaving such a small "footprint" to indicate he was there. Take away the birdhouse and the fence, and the land would be almost the same as before man began to use it. Yet, man has and continues to harvest this property. But he has done it in a manner that allows the rest of us to marvel at the beauty of the mountain framed against a developing rain storm.
